Board of Directors

This is a “working board”. The board will work closely with the Chamber staff to fulfil our mission statement of “maintaining the high quality of life in Oakdale through collaboration and facilitating connections between local businesses and the community.” Board members are encouraged to attend monthly Mingle Mixers (3rd Thursday of each month), coffee connections, occasional ribbon cuttings, and OCC sponsored events. It is estimated that each board member devote 2-5 hours of work each month to their OCC role.

Agriculture

The Ag Committee are representatives from various agribusinesses that meet monthly to plan ways to help educate the community on the many agricultural resources in our area. They work together to coordinate a luncheon in March with a speaker on local agriculture and industries.

Ambassadors

The Ambassador Committee actively promotes and represents the Oakdale Chamber in the business community. Ambassadors travel monthly to local businesses to visit with new and existing members to welcome and/or thank them for their support of the Chamber. Assist the Chamber in recruiting and retention efforts with verbal or physical contact with local businesses.

Economic Development

The Economic Development Committee are representatives from various sectors of the business community that meet monthly to report on local economy development and implement plans to increase business and employment activity in Oakdale. Assist with business attraction and retention of new and existing business in Oakdale. Coordinates seminars/workshops to present to our members.

Membership

The Membership Committee meet monthly to discuss accounts receivables, membership recruitment and retention; research of member’s needs, and planning of our annual events.
